Mid-Morning--Time for a Latte? A Lesson from Rose and Ivy

Rose and Ivy soaking up the solar power at 10 am
Rose and Ivy remind me that coffee breaks were invented for a reason--to take a breath (maybe not very deep) and give your mind, soul, and tummy a break from the intensity of career and money making.

Teachers seldom do this--recess to supervise, papers to correct, IEPs to write. We take lunch at the computer inputting grades. One year was so busy, I didn't have time to chew, so I brought in juices and liquid lunch. Poor me.

Nah. I was just playing the martyr, I think. Didn't want to say , 'No, I'm not doing extra work.' Silly me.

Back to Rose and Ivy. What focus they have, absorbing all that solar power. What peace and direction. Not pressured or in a rush. Confident in having been a bud that transforms to a bloom, to a rose hip. From a bush with a long line of fantastic roses. Ivy is a pioneer, nothing stops her from moving up, out, and over. Progressive determination. Done it before, will do it again. No panic or frustration. Her vine just keeps on growing. Rose and Ivy are completely confident in who they are and what their purpose is in life. No confusion, bitterness, or depression. Just growth. You go, girls!

Here's some perky music (forgive the pun) to have a latte or herbal tea or whatever calms and refocuses you.
