MzTeachuh's Meditations: The Joy of the Lord Is Your Strength
'Happy Earth,' Keith Haring |
Related to JOY
Synonyms: beatitude, blessedness, bliss, blissfulness, felicity, gladness, happiness, warm fuzzies
Antonyms: calamity, ill-being, misery, sadness, unhappiness, wretchednes
Somehow, "The Warm Fuzzies of the Lord Is Your Strength," doesn't sound the same.
Nehemiah 8:10, "the joy of the Lord is your strength."Best Articles For Educators 9/13/15

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qh_2yn5mZeg
I learned so much about the Civil War from watching this documentary (probably the best ever made) that when I found this photo of my great grandmother's older brother, Orvis H. Sweet, I knew exactly what he had been through, why he volunteered, and how remarkable a person he was. He volunteered for the 5th Vermont and fought at Antietam, Gettysburg, many other major battles, and died of wounds suffered at the Second Battle of the Wilderness. This photo was taken at Matthew Brady's studios 3 weeks before his death.
