I don’t think parents reading their children bedtime stories should constantly have in their minds the way that they are unfairly disadvantaging other people’s children, but I think they should have that thought occasionally.

Against “Personalized Learning”
http://anniemurphypaul.com/2016/05/against-personalized-learning/
One reason why the notion of personalized learning is so popular—one reason it is such a “head-nodder phrase”—is that it recognizes that students are all individuals, with different experiences and different preferences. At the same time, “children are more alike than different in how they think and learn,” as Riley quotes his hero (and mine), the cognitive psychologist Dan Willingham. We need a system of education that acknowledges and accommodates both realities.

4 Timeless Elements Of Strong Student-Teacher Relationships
http://www.teachthought.com/pedagogy/student-engagement/4-timeless-elements-strong-student-teacher-relationships/
Almost everyone has a favorite teacher, and those we liked less. What causes us to still cherish these relationships and harbor powerful sentiments of respect and affection (and sometimes a shuddering dislike) for those individuals who were responsible for mentoring us? The answer is quite simple. It’s how the student teacher relationships were developed, nurtured, and given space to evolve.

http://www.edudemic.com/play-nice-promote-digital-inclusion-stop-online-bullies/
Technological advancements have provided educators with a number of tools and opportunities they didn’t have five, 10, or 50 years ago. With live video streaming, smartboards, and dozens of other gadgets and lower-cost technology, educators are now able to reach a larger audience, with less funding, from nearly anywhere in the world.
Although these innovations give teachers and professors many more opportunities and creative teaching methods, they also bring new issues. From cyberbullying to student disengagement, online classrooms present educators with problems not found in traditional classrooms.MzTeachuh's Meditations: God Is At Work In You

Earth passes between Mars and the sun on May 22, bringing Mars to opposition in our sky for the first time in two years. Saturn, near Mars (and the star Antares) on the sky’s dome, ascends in the east at early-to-mid evening. Once Mars and Saturn are up, they’re out for rest of the night, near each other, getting brighter, heading toward their brightest and best in late May.
Brightest Mars in 10 yearshttp://earthsky.org/tonight/brightest-mars-in-over-ten-years
Tonight – May 22, 2016 – Mars comes to opposition in our sky for the first time in over two years. It’s the brightest that Mars has appeared in our sky, though, in over 10 years! Mars is now very nearly the same brightness as Jupiter, which has been the brightest starlike up each evening for some weeks. You can’t miss it! Even the drenching moonlight of the waning gibbous moon, just past full on this date and near Mars in the sky, won’t be able to wash the Red Planet from the nighttime sky.And just for fun--
