My Kid Has Trouble With Reading--What Should I Do?

There are many reasons a child may have trouble with reading. Make sure your teachers include all methods of learning to read, including systematic decoding skills and practice.  Now let's look at some of the well known difficulties that might be the problem.

 Learning disabilities do not mean your child cannot learn, there just may be a need for a different style of learning or reinforcement of learning. In the US, you can request specialized testing from the district of your residence to determine if your child has a learning disability and may qualify for Special Education services.
