NDEAM 2012: My Story, Daman Wandke, MBA student, web accessibility specialist for the Federal Housing Finance Agency and disability advocate.

Daman has written a synopsis of his remarkable story. Here is a sample:
" Let’s zoom out and see how I got to this point. From a very young age, my parents were always very supportive and had a “can do” attitude: they knew I could do anything I set my mind to. Doctors and therapists said I would never walk or talk, but my mom disagreed, making it clear that I would walk and talk. My parents advocated throughout my elementary school years to make sure I was in regular classrooms, learning what all the other students were learning, and integrated in all activities with my peers."
