Summer Activity: The Sky Is Cheap Entertainment

Perseid meteor shower.

We lived in Hawaii at Hickam AFB for several years, and the list of advantages to that is long--but one that stands out is the clarity of skyviewing.  The Honolulu newspaper had a wonderful weekly section on astronomy, and what to look for in the nightsky. I was hooked. Now we can check out earthsky.org
