Nature, My Garden, and Me: Bee Brunch
This fruit station was actually set up for butterflies, but my illustrious bees found it first. Slices of oranges, apples and banana attract several insects and I plan to add a little Orange Tang to the sponge. The apple has been there for a day and is probably making hard cider by now.
That shot of the apple with several bees looks like a pub in Sam Adams' day! The rocks in the bird bath look like the bees having a holiday at the river. Bees don't swim well and need traction to get a drink on a summer's day.
This is our Butterfly Garden in the High Desert of SoCal.
