Mzteachuh's Five Minute Bible Study: Plans to Support You Jer. 29:11

What a peaceful feeling to know someone has good thoughts for you and is thinking about your well-being. Not someone critical, mocking, or planning to hurt or ridicule. Not someone who enjoys to point out failure or weakness. Not someone wanting to take advantage.

And the best part in this verse is that Someone is able to really bring safety and the best way forward. Life can be really tough. A supportive someone can help melt anxiety and systematically reveal the one-step-at-a-time way to unloose the knotty problems we're tied up in. Jesus does that. I don't know how, but His Spirit will inspire effective ways to bring an effective solution(s) to really difficult situations.

A hope, an expectation of good things from Jesus who has them in mind for you.

"Seek the Lord while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near." Isaiah 55:6 Take a deep breath, speak to Him. Ask Him what's next. Look at your Bible app (or actual Bible, if you still use one.) There's that arm around your shoulder, the word of peace, the answer.

MzTeachuh's Meditations You Are Able

We have one challenge after another. That is life. When these super tasks rise up, there are are few steps we can remember to finish strong and satisfied.

You Are Able

...because God will clarify what you need to do. Situations can be complex, but the Lord will give you a verse, a thought or plan, or a helper who has expertise to help you in your progress. The Holy Spirit is quite the analyst and loves to help.

You Are Able

...because God gives strength. At times, we don't even realize we have a deficit. And there are times we feel completely inadequate. Either way, The Holy Spirit in His gentle way will show us how to improve our ability to function.  It is humbling, of course. But mostly, it is a relief to understand we can do better and why. Maybe our schedule needs adjusting. More sleep, healthier food. Maybe we need to recognize limitations and adjust the workload Get help in a deficit area. Math? Organization? People skills? Ask God for help. Then ask people for it,

You Are Able

...because you can finish. Some days finishing the afternoon is tough and you are in a project of months. Fortunately, we live one moment at a time. When Jesus said,"Take no thought for tomorrow," He meant, "Take no anxious thought for tomorrow." One minute at a time. We have organized with contingencies (see above how the Holy Spirit helps us plan) and even if we are slogging through- get rest, eat healthy, and finish. If you get bored, lose interest or are distracted, the Holy Spirit is going to remind you to finish the task. We can ignore that or not, but having made the commitment and investment already, go ahead and keep at it, Really long term commitments are difficult. What do you need to be able to finish? A Brain Break? A vaycay? A hug? Pray about your feelings and the situation. You are able to finish. You will finish. It's not forever, it only feels like it.

Masada: The Lord Is Good And A Stronghold In The Day Of Trouble

Masada, Isarael

Be Encouraged - William Becton (WOW Gospel 1998 Disc 1)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sGWS1BfNLEM&feature=related

Psalm 91

King James Version (KJV)
91 He that dwelleth in the secret place (masada) of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.
A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;
10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
13 Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.
14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.
15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.
16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

MzTeachuh's Meditations: Forgetting Those Thing Behind, And Reaching Forward

Philippians 3:13-14King James Version (KJV)

13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

I like St. Paul. He's very reassuring, clear, and smart. I listen to these epistles every day. I can't get enough of hearing how I'm acceptable in the beloved, and encouraged to proceed with lots of help.

Prelude for Your Day

Opal-rumped Tanager on Yellow, Ashley Cecil

(Even with a name like Opal Rumped Tanager; be bold, beautiful, confident and peck that Black Widow to your lower right!)

Let this beautiful Bach be the prelude to a productive day.
