Students need a foundation of social skills on which to build trusting relationships with teachers and each other and be comfortable within the school environment. While the pressures of teaching an already packed curriculum constantly weigh on our minds, I hope we can continue to find places to pause, take a breath and focus on skills that will make a difference in all aspects of learning.
