Next Friday 4th October is Global Cooperatio
n Day and Forest Nation are hoping that lots of schools will get involved in global tree planting. To take part, just buy a tree seedling or a small tree from a local garden centre / florist / nursery and plant it. You might plant it somewhere in your school grounds.
Forest Nation would also like to see the photos and videos of your tree planting because they are planning to use them to create a short movie. This sounds like a really simple project that has lots of educational benefits. Will you be getting involved?
Don’t forget to explore the rest of Forest Nation’s site while you’re there, as they have a number of lesson plans and teaching resources that focus on caring for the environment and each other.
