We must diversify instruction, no choice. |
America's love of diversity must spread to the differentiation of instruction in the classroom. We are all Special Education teachers, ELL teachers, GATE teachers, Art teachers, PE teachers, Social Studies teachers, Math teachers, Language Arts teachers, Science teachers, and most of all, WE ARE ALL READING TEACHERS. At the levels our students need. There are not enough special pull-out classes to 'fix' the English Language Learners and those with learning disabilities. I read today that most teachers are new. Good. Maybe a new crop of teachers will be willing to innovate and diversify instruction for the well being of our kids.
